Soft Printing Machines by Sunplus is the latest addition to the Canigou Records family. Recorded by Rob Shields while living alone near the coastline in South Wales, this is a collection of shimmering, constantly shifting and free-flowing compositions.

In their essence they are ambient, but they are also slightly unpredictable and malleable. Glistening synthesizers or what sounds like droplets of water appear out of thin air, only to dissolve into silence seconds later.

Creaks, crackles and clicks intertwine with atmospheric pads to uplifting effect. Even the noisier, more busy passages are easy to surrender to; you can’t help but immerse yourself in these sounds…
